After you've done something nice for someone else, have you ever said, "Darn it!  I shouldn't have done that - What a waste!"  Probably not.  At least, I hope not! There are many other things we regret doing, thinking, saying, wasting time on - but kindness should never be one of those things!  Making a difference in someone's life should never be viewed as a wasted act.  You may have no idea how much you have impacted someone else with your kind words or small gesture.

Today's Starfish

At work, we take turns working the late shift on Fridays.  Usually we work from 8-1, but a couple people work 10-3 and 11-4.  We each take our turn, but it sure is nice being done with the week at 1:00 on Fridays!  I worked the late shift last Friday and will be working it again this Friday to help out a friend :)

My co-worker Angie (she is pretty awesome and sits right in front of me!) was scheduled to work but she needs the day off to go out of town to help move her mother out of her condo.  If you are scheduled for the late shift, you cannot have the day off unless you find someone to work for you.  It feels great to be able to help out a co-worker and know it is making a difference for her and her family because now she will get to go help out :)

AND!  She brought be back an iced coffee after lunch as a token of her gratitude!  I am grateful that I am surrounded by such amazing women at work!

If you ever question whether you should do a good deed, erase the questioning thoughts from you head.  You know the right thing to do :)
