Expect the Unexpected... & You Shall Receive!

"What day is it?" asked Pooh.
"It's today," squeaked Piglet.
My favorite day," said Pooh.”

-A.A. Milne

Have you heard the saying..."Always expect the worst, and you will never be disappointed"?  This is NOT the way to live!! Pessimism. Negativity....who wants that??

I know it is hard not to stray to the path of negativity.  Sometimes, it is so much easier to think about all the bad things rather than being thankful for the good ones.  It is a way of thinking.  If you think you're going to blow an interview, you probably will.  If you think you're going to mess something up at work, you more than likely will.  If you think you're going to screw up a relationship, the odds are in  your favor.  But if you think you will rock that interview, dominate the work project and be kind and caring in the relationship, you will!

THAT'S THE POWER OF THINKING, PEOPLE!!!!!!

So change it!  Change the way you think.  Be grateful for what you do have and don't dwell on what you don't.  We only get one life - make it or break it.  Life is wayyyy too short to always expect the worst.

If not today, when?

A challenge for you:  Every time a negative thought crosses your mind, counteract it with TWO positive thoughts.  See the change in your life :)

Today's Starfish

I bet when you go to the grocery store, you don't expect to find money just lying on a shelf in the laundry detergent section.  I went to Target today and inconspicously left a few dollars next to some Febreeze.  Ya know that feeling you get when you find money somewhere it's not supposed to be?  That "OMG-I-JUST-FOUND-A QUARTER" feeling and you get all excited?  (OK maybe I am the only one who gets excited about quarters and even pennies - but you know what I mean).  Hopefully I created that feeling for someone today when they found my little surprise.  I love doing things like this...as I was leaving the store today, I felt like I was getting away with something - something good!
